I tawt I taw a puddy tat

In a poor town like this there are a lot of stray cats, dogs and bunny rabbits.  The stray cats are generally very timid and skittish, they won’t come near.  they might steal food and scarper, but will never stop for an ear scritch or tick inspection.  Whenever I encounter a new one and ask my neighbours if they know who it belongs to I’m given a wave of the hand “over there”.  Over there, a vague sort of somewhere that is nowhere.

But not this one.

This one came strolling down the road, chilled as you please and walked right in.  WALKED RIGHT IN.

She’s tiny, about three months old with blue eyes and I do believe she’s chosen me to be her owner.

What am I saying? Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
